Jota Mombaça is a non-binary Bicha, born and raised in northeast Brazil, who writes, performs, and addresses in her academic work the relations between monstrosity, humanity, Kuir studies, and decolonial turns. S/he is interested in intersectional politics, anti-colonial justice, redistribution of violence, and visionary fictions.
An introduction to Night School:
A brief introduction to the School from everyone involved.
Performative Kitchen with Pêdra Costa (and dinner)
Pêdra Costa is a performance artist and an anthropologist who is currently doing her diploma at the Academy of Fine Arts and works with queer artists from all over the world. Her work is informed by the aesthetics of post-porn and an analysis of decolonial concepts. Pêdra is responsible for the kitchen of Night School, which she runs with concepts that depart from personal history, intuition, creativity, knowledge and recycling. As we also say here: Eating is political!
